Declan Mckenna is one of the biggest up-and-coming talents in the UK at the
minute. Despite not being able to purchase alcohol legally, he has already
performed on US talk show ‘Conan’, appeared at Glastonbury and performed on
Jools Holland, truly amazing feats considering Mckenna’s age. However, don’t be
fooled by the youth of this young man, Mckenna’s music is extremely mature and
it explores many deep topics such as xenophobia, the critism of organised
religion and the way in which transgenders are treated. Mckenna is clearly wise
beyond his years and I’m sure that 2017 will prove to be an extremely lucrative
for this young songwriter.
