10 Acts To Check Out At Leeds Fest 2017

10 acts to check out at Leeds Fest 2017
Due to my erratic student life I am unfortunately unable to afford to attend Leeds fest this year, despite being at the past 3. Despite this sadness, I thought I’d do anyone who is attending a favour (of sorts) and pick out some of the highlights from this year’s line-up that you cannot miss out on.

1-  AJ Tracey:
The insanely talented up-and-coming grime superstar is bound to bring a bit of London grit to the mud of Bramham Park this weekend. Be sure to catch this set, it’s definitely gonna be a sweaty one.
When can I see him- Sunday, BBC Radio 1 Xtra Stage, 18:35

2-  Eminem
A rare UK appearance from the ageing rap megastar. Eminem returns to Leeds 4 years after his much divided headline set. Let’s hope he can bring around the naysayers this time round.
When can I see him- Sunday, Main Stage, 21:20

The absolute don when it comes to modern UK dance, Fatboy Slim descends onto Leeds this weekend with only one intention, packing out the dance tent and getting everyone sweaty as death.
When can I see him- Saturday, BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage, 21:45

4-  Haim
LA-born all-sister trio Haim are returning to Leeds this weekend after cancelling their much anticipated set last year. Fresh from the back of their second debut album, released last month, the girls are destined to be greeted by a massive posse of muddy Yorkshire expectancy.
When can I see them- Friday, NME/Radio 1 Stage, 22:15

The name on every true rap fan’s tongue at the minute, Loyle Carner has spent the whole summer touring his debut record at festivals throughout Europe to huge crowds, and Leeds is definitely going to be no different for the young London-born MC.
When can I see him- Sunday, NME/Radio 1 Stage, 18:35

The Brighton-based indie four piece are really great fun live (trust me) and they have a strong fan base that is certainly going to make their set extremely wild.
When can I see them- Saturday, NME/Radio 1 Stage, 13:40

7-  Migos
The rap trio that have taken the whole world by storm this year. Seemingly arriving on the scene from absolutely nowhere, Offset, Takeoff & Quavo can do no wrong at the minute it seems and if their internet popularity is anything to go by, then the main stage on Sunday afternoon is going to be absolutely rammed.
When can I see them- Sunday, Main Stage, 15:25

8-  Mura Masa
The Gurnsey-born DJ Mura Masa’s debut album, released recently, was met to superb critical acclaim. His trippy yet infectious styled dance beats, a la Jamie XX, is sure to get everyone dancing on Friday evening, no matter what the weather.
When can I see him- Friday, NME/Radio 1 Stage, 20:15

Another UK rapper gracing Leeds with his presence is Irish-born Rejjie Snow. His brilliant delivery has already garnered him a vast number of plaudits and fans who are bound to stuff themselves into the 1 Xtra tent on Saturday night.
When can I see him- Saturday, BBC Radio 1 Xtra Stage, 20:00

10-           Tom Misch
The concoction of Misch’s beats and guitar lines are pieces of funky brilliance and this fairly rare festival appearance must be attended. Also expect Loyle Carner to appear at his set, and vice versa, as the two are extremely good mates and have done a few tracks together in the past.

When can I see him- Sunday, NME/Radio 1 Stage, 15:10
